The development is very much geared towards those that can live independ of walking aids and wheelchairs, and could prove challenging if either are required although not unmanageable. The development is split into a number of attached and detached segments, with only the apartments in the main building having lift access. See development floor plans for clarity on location of main building and apartments that are lift accessible. Some assistance may be required to open the communal entrance door as this is not automated and quite heavy, as are the laundry, Residents’ lounge and refuse room doors. Residents can access the outdoor seating area and gardens with relative ease, using the laid path which meanders its way around the development until it meets up again with the car park. There is a local pub only a short level walk away and a garden centre a little further and both should be accessible to those residents using a walking aid or assisted in a wheelchair. Esher high street is the nearest significant shopping area, with the walk fairly long, uneven and with a steep hill making it difficult for those with walking aids.
